Kinvara arts collective Going Green for online show

Going Green is the appropriately named title of the Spring exhibition from members of the Kinvara Area Visual Arts group.

Originally, this was to be held in the Merriman Hotel but the coronavirus has put paid to that notion. Instead, like their current show, After Dark, it will be shown on its online platforms and will open this Saturday, April 18.

KAVA members were asked to contribute work to the show, based on the theme of Going Green. This was open to a wide interpretation of green living, according to the group’s Terri Kelleher: “The green of Spring, or basically just a celebration of green colour.  It certainly feels like a celebratory colour now, as we can appreciate the outdoors and all its lovely green-ness.”

Going Green is opening online this Saturday and will run until May 2. As with the current online show, different artworks will come under a daily spotlight across all KAVA media platforms.

In addition, all of the artworks in the exhibition will be available on the KAVA website and Facebook page for people who just want to look through at their own pace.
