KILLIMOR SHEEP FARMER SURVIVES LIGHTENING STRIKE

A young Galway sheep farmer is recovering after he was struck by lightning.

Tommy Callaghy was sheep shearing at his farm in Claremadden, Killimor last evening when he was struck by lightening in an electrical storm.

He was wearing rubber soled wellington boots at the time which are believed to have saved his life.
