KILCONNELL WOMAN LEFT HOMELESS FOLLOWING SEVERE FLOODING

An 82 year old woman was left homeless last night after her bungalow was flooded in the village of Kilconnell.

A combination of torrential rain and bad drainage led to two houses in the village being flooded.

Areas in East Galway such as Loughrea, Ballinasloe and Athenry were also heavily flooded yesterday.
