There is something magical about a Kíla gig; a feeling that, even though they are all accomplished players, just about anything could happen.

The trad crossover group who played their first gig in 1987 and honed their skills busking on the streets of Dublin, play a variety of instruments including whistles, fiddles and pipes, as well as brass and woodwind and the more electric end of the spectrum.

And as Kíla prepare to embark on another trip around Ireland that brings them to the Black Box on Thursday next,November29, multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Colm Ó Snodaigh talks about being part of this wild bunch.
