Keith Duffy heads celeb list at çbalta Charity Ball

Coronation Street star Keith Duffy is the special guest at this year’s Ábalta Ball, which takes place at the Ardilaun House Hotel on December 8.

The Ball, which features a host of top-class entertainment from Mickey Joe Harte, Frank Naughton, Converse Allstars and My Fellow Sponges, will raise funds for the school which was established in 2001 out of a necessity to provide teaching and education for children living with autism.

In January, Ábalta Special School relocated to a new premises at Parkmore East, Parkmore, which allowed them to teach all students under one roof in a modern environment, and provide specialist teaching and backup to children and families living with autism.

This year’s event will be attended by Keith Duffy, who has dedicated much of his time in raising awareness of autism in Ireland.

“This is going to be a great night of celebration,” says Michelle McGuire from the event committee. “We have so much to be grateful for in what we have in Abalta school, its success over the last ten years and all that the pupils have achieved.”
