JURY SWORN IN FOR COUNCILLOR FAHY’S RETRIAL

A jury has just been sworn in for the retrial of County Councillor Michael Fahy, who faces fraud and attempted theft charges

It took 20 minutes to swear in the jury of nine men and three women at Galway Circuit Criminal court

Several members of the jury panel told Judge Michael White they knew the accused, while one man was excluded from jury service after he gave the thumbs up sign to Cllr Fahy
