JURY IN TRIAL OF CITY SHOOTING SENT TO HOTEL OVERNIGHT

A jury in the trial of a man charged with shooting part of another man’s hand off in Galway City earlier this year, was sent to a hotel last night and will resume its deliberations at Galway Circuit Criminal Court today.

42 year old Anthony McDonagh, of 37 Tulach Ard, Circular Road, denies being in possession of a shotgun on April 18 last with intent to endanger life at Whitestrand Road, Salthill.

He also denies a charge of intentionally or recklessly causing serious harm to Martin Ward, on the same date.
