JURY IN SALTHILL MURDER TRIAL TO RESUME DELIBERATIONS ON MONDAY

A jury in the trial of a woman charged with the murder of her former lover in Salthill will resume its deliberations on Monday

The jury was sent home this evening having earlier asked to see the blood-stained jacket which was worn by the victim on the night he died and the knife that was allegedly used to stab him.

31 year old Maura Thornton, from Inverin, Connemara, denies the murder of 59 year old US national Kevin Joyce at a rented apartment at 183 Upper Salthill on July 31, 2011.
