JURY IN COUNTY RAPE TRIAL HEARS EVIDENCE FROM ALLEGED VICTIM

A jury has been hearing evidence in the case of a former babysitter who claims she was raped and sexually assaulted by her employer in the county.

The alleged incident is said to have happened at a house in the county on July 27th 2008.

The accused, a man in his late 30s who cannot be named for legal reasons, denied both charges at the Central Criminal Court which is sitting in Galway.

The alleged victim took to the stand earlier this afternoon.
