The jury in the trial of a man accused of murdering two young jockeys – including one from Claregalway – has been sent home for a second night after failing to reach a verdict.

18 year old Jamie Kyne, from Kiltrogue, and 19-year-old Jan Wilson from Scotland died in a fire at a block of flats in Norton, in North Yorkshire last September.

37-year-old Peter Brown from Brotherton denies starting the blaze.

The jury will resume its deliberations at 10 o’clock tomorrow morning.
