A city man who told a District Court judge she should be shot, later apologised before receiving a four-month prison sentence for burglary.

25 year old Joseph Crawford, from 47 Corrach Buí, Rahoon, Galway, appeared before Galway District Court yesterday.

Crawford apologised to Judge Fahy for his outburst.

Hearing he had 46 previous convictions, including ones for burglary and robbery, Judge Mary Fahy sentenced him to a four months prison sentence.
