JUDGE ORDERS CITY COUNCIL TO ACCOMMODATE FOUR TRAVELLER FAMILIES

A judge has ordered the City Council to allow four traveller families remain at a site on the Headford road.

Judge Raymond Groarke said that of the 16 families illegally camped at Carrowbrowne, four had been on the housing list since 2001 and 2003.

He ordered the city Council to allow them stay at the site and supply them with bins, water and toilets.
