Jobs Minister says Data Centre involving NUIG could generate more jobs
Galway Bay fm newsroom – The Jobs Minister says a new national Big Data centre involving NUIGalway, can spawn hundreds of new jobs over the next ten years.
The Insight project will see an initial 300 jobs created at twelve spin-off companies.
The centre – which has been given 58 million euro in funding by the Government – will see NUIG and 3 other universities pool their resources and data analysis staff.
Jobs Minister Richard Bruton says the Insight project can have a long-term impact.
