Galway Bay fm newsroom – Thousands of jobs could be created if people get involved and promote the ‘Wild Atlantic Way’.

The tourism initiative, which was launched today, aims to attract more international visitors to the west of Ireland.

The route stretches for 2,500 kilometres from Donegal to Cork and will link the destinations and attractions along the route together.

It’s the first ever long-distance touring route here in Ireland showcasing the Atlantic coastline.

Signature discovery points in Galway include Killary Harbour and Derrigimlagh.
