Job losses as Arch Motors Westside closes car side of business

Galway Bay fm newsroom – Arch Motors in Westside is to close the car side of the business, with the loss of 12 jobs

The Peugeot dealer for Galway is closing the car sales and car repairs side of the business due to the downturn in the trade

The 50 year old city business will retain the shop and filling station

A notice on the door at the garage refers potential customers and existing Peugeot owners to the nearest dealer which is JJ Burke in Ballinrobe while deposits on ordered cars will be returned

Our motoring correspondent Gerry Murphy says it will be difficult for Peugeot to find a replacement dealer.
