JANUARY DECISION ON FUTURE OF CITY RAPE CRISIS CENTRE

The future of the Rape Crisis Network Ireland, which is headquartered in the city, is to be decided next month (Jan 2012).

In April this year, the HSE announced it was to withdraw its core funding of 270 thousand euro.

An extension was later granted but is due to expire this Saturday, New Year’s Eve.

Management at the RCNI is to meet with the HSE next month to discuss the future funding of the organisation.
