JAIL TERM FOR COCAINE POSSESSION IN GORT

A drug dealer importing cocaine from the United States has been jailed for 12 years and his girlfriend for 8 after they were caught in a sting operation in Gort, with almost half a million euro worth of the drug.

40 year old Alan Graham, from 12 Davin Gardens, Caherdavin, Limerick, and 25 year old Susan Ryan, with the same address appeared before Galway Circuit Criminal court yesterday.

The pair pleaded guilty before Galway Circuit Criminal Court in November to the possession of cocaine for sale or supply to others at Glenbrack, Gort on November 2, 2010.

They also pleaded guilty to having another quantity of cocaine worth €210,000 for sale or supply to others at Annaghdown on November 4, 2010.
