Irish water safety urge vigilance over children near Galway waters

Galway bay fm newsroom – Irish water safety is advising the Galway public that lifeguards are not baby sitters.

The organisation was responsible for reuniting 25 lost children with their parents in Galway last month.

Advice was also given to over 700 members of the public at beaches, rivers and lakes regarding water safety.

Meanwhile, Irish water safety lifeguards rescued 21 people from beaches, rivers and lakes in Galway last month. (July)

There were another 191 accidents prevented by the proactive actions of lifeguards, while first aid was administered to 155 people.
