IRISH RAIL SAYS DELAY IN REOPENING GALWAY LIMERICK ROUTE

Irish Rail says it expects a delay in the Western Rail Corridor being built, despite a planning appeal regarding the Gort station being withdrawn.

Coen Holdings had lodged an appeal against the County Council’s decision to grant permission to Irish rail to build a new station in Gort.

However agreement was reached between the two parties and the appeal was withdrawn.
