Irish ballet company set for Galway stage

The Irish Youth Russian Ballet Company (IYRB) will visit the Town Hall Theatre for the first time on Thursday next, February 18 when members will perform the lovely ballet La Sylphide. The company is made up of young aspiring Irish ballet students, including Emma Collins and Catherine Walsh who are from Galway and are students of the Regina Rogers School of Ballet.
The principal male dancer from the Perm State Ballet of Russia, Robert Gabdullin will dance the lead role.
The IYRB’s Artistic Director is Dubliner Monica Loughman who spent 14 years with the famous Perm State Ballet of Russia. She and fellow dancer ….the IYRB in 2007 in order to hand on her expertise and experience to young Irish ballet students.
