More than 70 residential and investment properties are set to go under the hammer in Galway next month in the biggest ever auction to take place outside of Dublin.

Strong interest is expected from investors in ‘job lots’ that are included in the catalogue – including 14 houses in Clifden with an Advised Minimum Value of €750,000; 7 bungalows (various stages of completion) in Roundstone with an AMV of €250,000; 14 apartments in Doughiska in the city with an AMV of €490,000 and 6 apartments in Gort with a price tag of €290,000.

Colm O’Donnellan of O’Donnellan & Joyce Auctioneers told Tribune Property: “The viewings and enquiries have been overwhelming, with buyers from all over the country who are looking for property at exceptional value.

“There has been particular interest from investors and first time buyers with a variety of properties on offer from family homes in established locations in Galway city i.e. Salthill, Newcastle, Knocknacarra, Renmore, Tirellan and Oranmore.

“There are also a multitude of residential investments from large blocks of apartments in Doughiska, to individual residential units throughout the Galway city and suburbs, aligned with a tremendous variety of properties throughout the West.

“Without any doubt this is the largest property auction ever held outside Dublin and contains properties throughout the West of Ireland, but particularly Galway city and county region,” said Mr O’Donnellan.

The all-day auction takes place on Friday, October 3 in the Harbour Hotel, Galway.
