INVESTIGATION INTO UNAUTHORISED PAY AT NUIG

Senior academics at NUI Galway have received unauthorised payments totalling 578 thousand euro.

According to the Sunday Independent, the institution is one of seven Irish universities now subject to an investigation by the Comptroller and Auditor General.

University College Dublin topped the list for non sanctioned spend at 3 point 5 million euro followed by Trinity College Dublin at 1 point 3 million.
