INVESTIGATION INTO BURNING OF ELECTRICITY POLES IN BARNADERG

Tuam fire brigade was called out this morning to a number of fires at electricity poles at the Pol na Cappall area near Barnadearg.

It appears that a number of wheelie bins were placed beside the poles and then set alight.

The poles then caught fire, and an investigation is underway.
