Injured airlifted to hospital after Roundstone crash

Galway Bay Fm newsroom – One person was airlifted to hospital in Galway and another removed by ambulance following a crash involving a motor cycle and a car near Roundstone earlier today (Saturday).
The crash happened shortly before 10 am on the Bog Road on the Cashel side of Roundstone and Gardai from Clifden, fire fighters, ambulances and other emergency and medical services were quickly on the scene.
The Bog Road was closed until shortly after mid-day today but it has now reopened and traffic is back to normal on the route
The extent of injuries to those taken to hospital is still unclear but both people are being medically assessed and treated at Galway University Hospital this lunchtime.
