INFRASTRUCTURE PLANS ADVANCE FOR VOLVO OCEAN RACE

The organisers of next year’s Galway leg of the Volvo Ocean have applied for planning permission to build a media centre and offices at the Docks in the city.

The plans for the media centre put together by the group ‘Let’s Do it Galway ‘ involve the demolition of the current Centre Pier Building at the docks.
