INDUSTRIAL ACTION LIKELY AT AVIVA

Representatives of staff at insurance company, Aviva and trade union officials with UNITE are to meet with management in Dublin today.

The Union says industrial action now looks ‘very likely’.

A ballot on industrial action is expected to get underway over the next few days.

It follows the announcement by the company last week that 950 people would lose their jobs over the next two years at the Galway, Cork, Dublin and Laois offices.
