INCIDENT ROOM SET UP FOLLOWING COUNTY ROBBERIES

An incident room has been set up in Oranmore following robberies at business in Gort and Kiltulla.

Two service stations were targetting by people wearing balaclavas in the early hours of yesterday morning.

The theives, struck at Gillane’s Service Station at Cloon, about two miles from Gort, on the Loughrea Road, at approximately 1.15 am.

Meanwhile a raid took place at Duane’s Filling Station, Kiltulla, Athenry sometime before 2 am yesterday.

Gardai are now examining CCTV footage, and are appealing for anyone with information to contact Gort or Galway Gardai.
