IMO DEFENDS LARGE PAYMENTS TO GALWAY DOCTORS

The Irish Medical Organisation has defended figures which reveal that almost €500 million has been paid to GPs in Ireland over the past 2 years under the General Medical Scheme.

A County Galway doctor ranks in the top ten earners under the scheme.

Dr. Michael Casey, who has a practice in Carna received more than €676,000 in fees last year, putting him in 8th position on the list.
