Hundreds turn out to greet St. Anthony’s relics at Galway cathedral

Galway Bay fm newsroom – Hundreds of people are visiting Galway cathedral today where the relics of Saint Anthony are on display.

It’s part of a national tour to mark the 750th anniversary of the discovery of Saint Anthony’s incorrupt tongue by St Bonaventure.

The devotees turned out in their droves for a special mass which was held at 11am.

The relics, which consist of a floating rib bone and layers of cheek skin, will be on display until 10 tonight.
