Hundreds to attend AA convention in Salthill
Galway Bay fm newsroom – The 39th annual Galway West area convention of alcoholics anonymous gets underway in the city this evening.
AA is a forum for people with alcohol issues to share experiences and gain support from others to combat addiction.
800 members attend over 100 meetings in Galway city and county on a regular basis.
The weekend-long convention gets underway at the Galway Bay Hotel in Salthill at 8.30 this evening with a public open meeting.
The local AA number for Galway 085 22 44 065 and is open between noon and 10p.m seven days a week.
