Hundreds of people have taken part in Galway’s latest attempt to break a world record.

Ability West organised the push to break the world record for the largest number of people to be part of ‘Rock the Boat’

The event marks the charity’s 50 year anniversary of supporting children and adults with intellectual disabilities.

Hundreds gathered on Salthill Prom to take part but the gathering just fell short of breaking the current record of 1,428.
