HUNDREDS OF HSE WEST WORKERS TO LEARN FATE IN COMING FORTNIGHT

The fate of hundreds of HSE West contract workers will be decided at several regional meetings in the coming fortnight.

The HSE and health Unions have agreed to hold meetings in every area covered by the HSE west, in order to decide where the 300 jobs will be taken from.

This will involve meetings in Galway, Donegal, Sligo, Leitrim, Mayo, Roscommon and the mid west region of Limerick, Clare and north Tipperary.

Clinical director at Galway and Roscommon hospitals, David O’ Keeffe says all of the HSE west hospitals will have to make cost cutting changes.
