HUGE PUBLIC WAITING LISTS FOR HEALTH SCANS IN CITY

Over 2 thousand people are on a waiting list for scans at the city’s public hospitals.

Figures released by the HSE West reveal 2,162 public patients are on waiting lists at University Hospital Galway and Merlin Park hospital.

The wait for diagnostic imaging, includes MRI’s and CT scans.
