HSE WEST SAYS CONTROL OF CUTS LIES WITH CENTRAL HSE

‘The HSE West has gone as far as it can go before patients lives are put at risk.’

That’s the message from HSE West Clinical Director for Galway and Roscommon Hospitals Dr David O’Keeffe today.

He’s spent the last three hours outlining 65 million euro worth of cuts to hospitals in the region to councillors and TDs from Galway and Roscommon.

Dr O’Keeffe says 34 million euro is needed from the HSE nationally and has placed the ball back in the Central HSE’s court.
