HSE TO CUT GALWAY PSYCHIATRIC POSTS

The HSE is to cut two consultant psychiatrists from the mental health service in Galway.

The Irish Times reports that two temporary locum consultants with fixed-purpose contracts are to be let go later this month.

In a statement, the HSE refused to comment on the alleged cuts, but added it’s normal employment ends once a temporary contract is finished.
