HSE SAYS GALWAY BED CLOSURES NOT REFLECTION OF PERFORMANCE

In-patient beds aren’t the most appropriate currency by which to measure the HSE’s performance.

That’s the view of HSE Western Regional Director John Hennessy who was speaking at a recent health forum meeting.

It follows news that 22 more beds were closed at Galway University Hospitals last month which brings the total number of beds closed to 114.
