The HSE is renewing its appeal to the public to limit their visits to University Hospital Galway to help curtail the spread of the ‘Winter Vomiting Virus’

Despite the appeal for children not to visit the hospital many are still being brought in, and a HSE spokesperson says this will spread the virus

The visiting restrictions will remain in place for the weekend and visiting hours are strictly from 2pm to 4pm and from 6.30pm to 8.30pm

The HSE says only essential visits should be made and they should be confined to one person at a time
