HSE ANNOUNCES STAFF REDUCTION AT GUH

131 full time jobs equivalents are to be taken out of the Galway and Roscommon group of hospitals this year – that is UHG, Merlin Park, Portiuncula and Roscommon Hospitals.

The announcement was made at a recent meeting of the West Regional Health Forum.

There was also news that 12 nurses have been recruited for Intensive Care and Theatre duties at UHG.
