HOUSE PRICES FALL IN BOTH CITY AND COUNTY

Property prices have fallen by 3.4 percent in the city and 8.5 percent in the county.

The figures compiled by Daft.ie cover the period from March to June and show that the average house price in Galway is now 142 thousand euro.

The national average asking price now stands at 172- thousand euro, which is down 2.6 per cent on the first three months of this year, a drop of more than 50 per cent since 2007.
