House in Galway sealed off as part of investigation into missing Carraroe man
Galway Bay fm newsroom – Gardai have sealed off a house in Carraroe as they investigate the death of a man whose body was found in a quarry near Liscannor in Co Clare earlier.
The remains were found near the Cliffs of Moher this morning, as part of an investigation into the disappearance of a 41 year old man from the Carraroe area.
Adrian Folan was last seen in Athlone town on the night of the 3rd July, and Gardai are investigating whether he may have been killed in a drink fueled row.
A post mortem is due to be carried out at the Mid Western Regional Hospital in Limerick.
Gardai investigating the disappearance of 41 year old Adrian Folan discovered the body of a male in a quarry near Liscannor, Co. Clare this morning.
Shortly afterwards, Gardai arrested a man in his 40′s in Connemara.
The suspect is being held at Mill Street Garda station in Galway.
Meanwhile a house in Carraroe, Galway has also been sealed off by Gardai.
The body of the unidentified male found in Co. Clare has been removed from the scene and taken to University Hospital Limerick for a post mortem.
Up until his disappearance Mr. Folan had been studying at Athlone IT, and was last seen in Athlone town at around 11.40 last Thursday night.
Gardai began appealing for information about his disappearance yesterday when they became gravely concerned for his safety.
