Galway Bay fm newsroom – All employment contracts at the recently closed House Hotel in the city will be honoured, according to hotel management.
Management and staff of the boutique hotel on Spanish Parade are liasing with the hotel’s receivers since its closure on Monday.
The House Hotel had employed 50 people prior to its closure.
Dublin firm Crowe Horwath has been appointed as receiver for the popular hen-party venue, and is striving to honour all standing employment contracts.
In a statement, the receiver says it’s hopeful that the hotel can re-open quickly following a re-fit, which is expected to take up to six weeks.
The hotel’s distinctive decor and furnishings have been removed by the former management, Quaylane Management Ltd., which is run by Donnacha Finn and Margaret Jenkins.
In a statement issued to GBFM news this afternoon, the company says it’s in the process of contacting guests booked in to stay at the House Hotel to suggest alternative accommodation.
