HOUSE GUTTED IN ANNAGH HILL FIRE

Gardai and the Fire brigade are at the scene of a house fire close to Annagh Cross near Monivea.

The alarm was raised at 5.30 this morning and two units of Athenry fire Brigade rushed to the house at Annagh Hill and brought the blaze under control.

Gardai believe at this stage that there was no one in the house at the time of the fire and no one was injured in the incident.

Extensive damage has been done to the house and one unit of the fire brigade is still at the scene.

Gardai have sealed off the house and scene of crime experts will technically examine the house shortly.
