Preparations are underway to set up a helpline for women concerned about misdiagnoses at Galway University Hospitals.

It’s in the wake of revelations that Martha O’Neill Brennan from Athenry was wrongly told she miscarried by her gynaecologist at UHG.

She subsequently gave birth to her son Aaron – who is now aged three.
