HOTELS IN GALWAY CITY BUCK NATIONAL TREND

Galway is one of three cities to buck the national trend with some growth in the hotel industry here.

That’s according to a new survey being released by the Irish Hotels Federation.

55 percent of hoteliers nationally, say they are seeing an increase in business, but contrast that with reports that occupancy levels are lagging in regional tourism areas and the picture looks less positive.

Hotels in the cities of Galway, Dublin and Cork are reporting some increase in business.
