Hostel funding to boost tourism on Aran Islands
Galway Bay fm newsroom – Major funding has been allocated to help grow the tourist industry on the Aran Islands.
200 thousand euro has been sanctioned for the development of a 40 bed 3 star hostel in Cill Mhuirbhí on Inis Mór.
The money is provided under the rural development programme for Ireland 2007-2013 which is co-funded by the Irish Government and the European Union.
Galway West TD Sean Kyne says the funding to ‘Brú Dhún Aonghusa’ is essential to help the Aran Islands cater for increased visitor numbers.
