Hollywood in Woodford

The village of Woodford may not be world renowned for its associations with the movie business – but that’s about to change next week when an award winning Irish movie gets its ‘premiere’ among the people who witnessed its shooting in the first place.

Fresh from picking up its prestigious prize at the Cannes Film Festival, Garage, starring Pat Shortt, is due to go on general release next week. But Cinemobile will have two very special screenings of the film in the locations of Woodford (or Holly-Woodford) and the Tipperary village of Rathcabban – two locations where the film was shot.

The garage scenes in the film were shot in the town of Rathcabban, while the street scenes were shot in Woodford. And Cinemobile are…..
