HOLLYWOOD ACTOR CALLS FOR FUNDING FOR CITY’S ART HOUSE CINEMA

Hollywood actor Fionnuala Flanagan says Galway will be left with a ‘gaping hole in the ground’ if the government doesn’t foot the bill for the city art house cinema.

Project managers SOLAS are struggling to pay for its construction as they are still waiting for the 2 point 1 million euro pledged by the government.

SOLAS itself needs to source over one million euro in funding.

Irish actor Fionnuala Flanagan, who has starred in several leading Hollywood movies, is on the board of the Arthouse Cinema

She’s in Galway this week for the film fleadh having narrated the TG4 documentary ‘Lón sa Spéir’ which features in the festival.

Fionnuala Flanagan says the money is desperately needed to save the Arthouse Cinema project.
