HMV TO PAY LILY-MAE CHARITY SINGLE FUNDS
Date Published: 22-Jan-2013
27 thousand euro in funds due from HMV from the sale of a charity single for Claregalway girl Lilly-Mae Morrison is to be paid.
More than 300 musicians got behind a recording of Elton John’s "Tiny Dancer" before Christmas to help Lilly Mae in her fight against a rare form of cancer called neuroblastoma.
The payment had been thrown into doubt after the music retailer, which has a base off Shop Street in the city, went into receivership last week.
Producer of the single Stephen Macken says he has received confirmation that the funds will be paid.
Lily-Mae’s uncle Paul Hayes says Lily-Mae is going through a difficult period of treatment at the moment.
