HMV APPOINTS ADMINISTRATORS

HMV shares have been suspended from trading on the London Stock Exchange, with the news that the company has appointed administrators.

Around 300 of HMV’s 4-thousand employees work in 16 stores across Ireland, including a shop at Barrack lane off shop street in Galway.

In a statement this morning, the company says they expect shops will stay open while administrators Deloitte seek a buyer for the business.
