Historic South Galway castle up for sale
Galway Bay fm newsroom – One of Ireland’s finest privately owned castles, based near Ardrahan, is up for sale.
Tulira Castle was bought by Dutch couple, Ruud and Femmy Bolmeijer 18 years ago.
They paid about 2 million pounds at the time for the property which is based on 265 acres with 95 acres of woodland.
The couple undertook a restoration project on the 7-bedroom home, which has its original 16th century towerand Georgian courtyard buildings.
According to today’s Irish Independent, Tulira Castle is now on the market for 6.5 million euro.
